I'm exercising my god given right to point out hypocrisy. seriously pay attention to foods that have wheat protein or milk protein in them as an additive... what, really, do you think the point in adding them to food would be? the body's ability to utilize such proteins (their bioavailability) is just about zero. Casomorphin is the opioid that comes from milk -- milk is about 80% casein, and all of it gets turned into casomorphin by dipeptidyl peptidase IV before it can be fully digested. Genetic mutations that prevent the body from further processing casomorphin have been show to lead to autism, schizophrenia, and ADD. Either way, though, it's addictive. There is absolutely no questioning that. More addictive than caffeine, and in some cases, more addictive than heroin. Wheat-protein is even more addictive (about 100 times more addictive than heroin), and the same neurological disorders are shown in individuals who cannot process gluten exorphins.
