So I need a way to put delay and reverb on my voice when performing live. What's the best (read, "cheapest") way to do this? Two cheap guitar effects pedals, I guess?

There are actually Vocal pedals for this type of thing, they work well.

my friend uses an ibanez de-7, and it rules. there's like 2 seconds of time on it, and the warp is really cool.

yeah, any guitar delay will work really well for vocals. the de-7 has an "echo" setting thats kinda like reverb. digitech makes a reverb pedal too.

The Echo mode is nothing like reverb. It's just a dirty analog simulation. It's a great sounding delay, for sure. A friend of mine is trying to do the same thing. He said it sounded like shit just running directly into the pedals, though.
