Death metal: Digitech Whammy, for completely obnoxious solos, use your amp's gain (unless it's a crate, or MG series Marshall) Also acceptable is a delay of some sort (Boss DD-3, or Digitech Digidelay will do fine), and a Flanger seems to make an appearance every now and then (Boss BF-2, or BF-2)

Oh and for the record the Deluxe Memory Man owns all of Boss's Digitech's and Line 6's delays. I should know I've owned them all.

I think it really depends on what you're going for. I don't think I could get by without tap tempo on longer delays.

You'll find everything from noise gates, to limiters and maximizers and EQ's and compressors when it comes to gear itself.

For effects, I've seen everything. Chorus, Flanger, Disotortion, Phaser, Delay, Reverb, Wah..

But really... who cares what gear you use?

probably one of the most clueless statements ever made

i love you
