Not much more money, but I'm a cheap bastard. That's why I own a used dual rec with JJ's.

eh, i was never a fan of the triples, i always thought the duals sounded much better....to each his own though, thats a sweet thing to have happen.

seriously not a fan of mesa. everyone says they sounds so amazing, but i honestly thing that any marshall amp sounds so much better than any comparable mesa amp.

seriously though, thats awesome that you got a few hundred off a great amp.

I've had both a marshall and a mesa, and I like the mesa sound better, but not out of a mesa cab. I run my mesa rec through a marshall cab. The Triple Rec is awesome, but its wattage is TOTALLY unnecessary, unless you're opening for AC/DC, otherwise, be prepared to have it turned up to around 2 most of the time as no one can match your volume.
