last night on my radio show i was looking through the vinyl catalogues for new shit to play and i found an lp by a band called REALM. the cover was of a robot trojan horse spitting fire, the name was written in a thrash manner, and the title was "endless war". so i flip it over. they look like typical so-cal thrashers and the songs have typical titles. then i look on the cover again and see a sticker:

go where no metal has gone before.
enter the new REALM.
featuring the thrash classic hit "eleanor rigby".

so i flip the sleeve over and check out the credits for the song, and sure enough the writing credits go to lennon and macartney. it was fucking hilarious. anyone ever heard it? we have a lot of awesome thrash like that in the station. it rules.

I actually just played that cover last night on vinyl... best track on the album unfortunately but an awesome cover and by far my favorite Eleanor Rigby cover.
