i'm of two minds on this. of course i think people have the right to do whatever they want in their own lives and coming out as gay publicly takes a lot of courage. at the same time, i'm not sure surgery is ever a good idea except in actual medical situations. i would never tell anyone else what to do, but i guess i just view the whole elective surgery industry as kind of an accepted horrorshow of our time. be gay or not, that's fine and your choice, but maybe part of accepting yourself is accepting your body the way it wants to be. this isn't the age of star trek: you may be able to chop off this and sew up that, but your body's form takes its cues on the genetic level, and until that can be altered [if even it should], maybe just be gay the way you are. that's what i would tell a friend anyway. i don't know, probably giving this way too much thought this early in the morning.
