Seau is the eighth member of the Chargers' 1994 Super Bowl team to have died. In December, linebacker Lew Bush suffered a heart attack at age 42. Other members of the team who have died are running back Rodney Culver, linebackers Dave Griggs and Doug Miller, defensive tackle Shawn Lee, defensive end Chris Mims and center Curtis Whitley....crazy.

he is like the third football player in recent years to kill himself by shooting themselves in the chest. they are doing it to conserve the brain so that the autopsy will show the damage their brains sustained due to all of the concussions. NFL is going to be in court for a long, long time with this concussion stuff. last i heard, there were hundreds of law suits filled against them.

As much as i understand the argument...players know what they are getting into. There is only so much blame that players can put on the NFL for their personal decisions to play knowing the risks...especially over the last 10 years.

Very sad news. RIP. but i agree with Brian. I think he was fucked up in the head and knew he wanted his brain checked. If the texts about getting his brain researched are true well then i know he knew what he was doing. But the real question is why? sad stuff.

There is no note or text about giving his brain to research. People keep attaching what Dave Duerson did to Junior.
