That's good then. I get the point of your post but I, again, hope your friend comes out and uses this as a tool to educate others. Unfortunately everyone thinks they are invincible until they are truly hit with a hard dose of reality, not even as severe as this. Sometimes its the simple fact of seeing a peer in a specific situation that puts it all into perspective. There will still be dudes (and girls for that matter) that will continue to be shitty but if this story effects even one or two other people and convinces them to change their ways, then he will have made a difference.

Also, I hope for the sake of the community, anyone that was unfortunately infected by your friend or the person that gave it to him, they follow the same steps instead of trying to hide it.

the scary thing is no one can really know they don't have it. unless it's full blown, it can go undetected for years. the antibodies only show up in the stage when it's taking over, but before that a person can still be a carrier and seem healthy.

It's not Dave's place to say who this guy is. I, and most people, would label him a giant asshole if he did. Nothing worse than someone who 1) can't be trusted and 2) thinks they're important because they have "juicy gossip."
