And what was the stupidest?

For me, the scariest: "The Hills Have Eyes" series (I'm terrified of cannibalism)
The stupidest: "The Devil's Rejects"
tom.

i used to think The Prince of Darkness was one of the scariest but I have not seen it in years so not sure if it holds up.....also the Pet Cemetary scene with the sister upstairs is one of the scariest ever in a movie

This movie freaked me out as a kid. I haven't seen it in so long so I'm not sure if that would still hold true.

The scariest movies to me are Signs and Fire In The Sky, because the whole idea of a semi-realistic alien invasion/presence freaks me the fuck out.

Obviously The Exorcist is an answer too.

The stupidest horror movie I've ever seen was Garden Of The Dead AKA Tomb Of The Undead. The story had such potential, but it was just done so, so poorly.

When I was a kid Candyman had me afraid of the dark for about two years
the stupidest movie I've seen lately was Anti-Christ. Another movie with so much potential but just didn't deliver anything at all. Would have love to have have seen it made with the original script.

To answer nothing really scares me anymore. I've been searching for a long while for a really scary film.

As a child, Poltergeist used to fuck me up.

The Blair Witch Project and the last five minutes of [.REC] are the only movies I've ever found truly scary.

Oh, and this too

I remember the clown in Poltergiest freaking me out

And the beginning of an old Black n White film I think it was called Black Sabbath. They nailed a cross on a vamp chicks face and buried her in a glass top casket with a cross outside it so if she came back to life shed see it.

Nothing else ever scared me. I grew up watching classic horror n gore with my mom We'd watch all night long every Saturday night. Ahhh child hood Hell we even watched horror Xmas films Xmas eve. Haha. Mom Topps rules

The Exorcist is the scariest movie in history. Nothing comes close.
