Oh it definitely needed to be done, I just can't stand the waste of time these matches are. The combined entrances are about 50x longer than the match. That's ridiculous.

Anyway, this was reported on 411mania:

Brock Lesnar Throws Tirade Following Extreme Rules PPV, Thought Cena Double Crossed Him
Posted by Ashish on 05.01.2012

Brock lost it after Cena changed the finish to their match...

PWInsider reports that Brock Lesnar threw a tirade backstage after the Extreme Rules PPV on Sunday. Lesnar apparently ripped apart his dressing room and went off on several WWE officials after getting upset over John Cena's PPV-closing promo. The original plan for the match was for Cena to win but to be beaten so badly that he had to be carried out of the building, making Lesnar look stronger and making it seem as if Cena won the battle, but Lesnar won the war. Instead, Cena cut a promo to the crowd and Lesnar viewed it as Cena double crossing him. Obviously WWE officials were able to calm him down, as he worked RAW last night and did the planned Triple H angle as a way to get him off TV for now.

Apparently Lesnar's current deal only requires him to work a minimum of two dates per month.

Personally, I think this is either bullshit or a work. I don't see Cena getting carted out of the building at the end and then able to return for RAW the following night, let alone the writing team scripting that entire end of last night's show at the last minute. And considering the author's last statement about Brock's contract, it doesn't seem like he's too on top of what's what. Brock's contract terms were pretty public and known from the get-go. He's only OBLIGATED to show up twice a month, yet he's already done WAY more than that since Mania.

Just wanted to post this in case it turns into the next big rumor.

Read that this morning. Even though he wasn't carted off, Schwenk and I were still expecting them to play up that "I lost the battle but won the war" angle. I was surprised when they didn't.

Meltzer talked about it on the observer radio show. This is how someone from another board summarized it.

OK. This is the word from Observer Radio on the Brock deal. 1. At no time was there any plan for Brock to do anything but job to Cena. The WWE mentality is that they are paying him $5million to come in and put over their stars, not build a long term money drawing storyline around him the way any one else running a business who shells out $5million for an employee would do. 2. Lesnar knew he was jobbing from day one, but was expecting Cena to go out on a stretcher so there is actually heat over that. He also was saying Cena pulled down the top rope to make him botch/try and injure him, tho Meltzer hears that's a work on the boys and Cena and Brock don't have actual heat. 3. WWE and Lesnar worked the dressing down of the officials to a degree, because WWE wanted word to get out that he was quitting before RAW and then SWERVE~! have him show up on tv. They also wanted to justify their booking decision with the boys by making it look he could quit at any minute, because that was a legit concern from the start. 4. Lesnar went off legitimately on one of Johnny Ace's assistant in front of a room full of people in order to sell #3, only he went off way more than they thought he would and said a bunch of shoot stuff that was "really, really bad", but unless this becomes a self fulfilling prophecy a la Pillman, he's not actually gonna quit for real . 5. The idea is still HHH/Lesnar at SummerSlam, then have Brock work at Rumble or SS and 'mania. "It's about building your product, and their product is John Cena not Brock Lesnar... he's not the product their investing in, he's the product they're spending money on. I know it's confusing, it's a confusing situation... every ones working every one, which is sounding too much like WCW, only WCW was planned better day to day." I have a headache now.

Can somebody in here please explain how Pillman was a self-fulfilling prophecy? Do they mean that his thing with Goldust and Terri where he was in hotels every week on raw blah blah and then he dies in a hotel room? I don't understand that.

Interesting AOW today. Rockin Randy is the guest and is the guy who gave Colt Cabana and CM Punk their first matches. Some funny stuff.
