I play the Alesis SR16 drum machine live, with my hands, through a PA, as an instrument in and of itself, without programming it, having customized all twelve buttons: kick, snare, closed hat, open hat, trashcrash, hicrash, locrash, ridebell, ride, tom1, tom2, and tom3. Perfect for jamming out in a small room, recording, very portable. I figured out how to do it one very boring day back in 1998.
This is a weird one: I can do the David Lee Roth "WOW" scream, in key. When I'm listening to "Cemetary Gates," by Pantera I'll use that technique to "scream" along to the Dimebag solo at the end of the song. (If I do it through a microphone it's skull-piercing)
