ive mostly just figured it out from going out and doing it, but i read a bunch of blogs (fstoppers, petapixel, and photographylife, the last of which has some good guides), one book on street photography technique (the street photographer's manual), and have a bunch of photo books i flip through (henri, vivian maier, and bruce davidson).
the blogs can be hit or miss. i already mostly have the gear i want to have, so posts about a new camera or lens by a different brand just take up idle time but dont give me anything. technique posts are often pretty interesting and helpful though.
