Same. They were filming the last day of it there so I may be in it for a split second. :-O

I watched it today, great stuff. Anniversario in Easton this year still ranks as the best show I've seen/been to, but Saturday night's show was still awesome. Delirious' interaction with the Batiri could spell big trouble. And the ECW team at KOT will be a privilege to watch!

I'll check out the anniversario for sure. I'm not completely sold on team ecw, but I'm sure it will be ok. Dreamer is dreamer, Lynn should still be good, but Scorpio was pretty disappointing the one time I saw him a few years ago. I'm sure both Lynn and Scorpio will be cool in RDV if they do that.

I think the ECW team will be great for a Trios style match. They obviously won't all be as high-flying and over the top as, say, the Colony or F.I.S.T., but they will most likely get a good deal of help by whoever they are pitted against.

As for Punk... I have to laugh anytime I hear someone talking trash on him in an attempt to call him out on who he is as a person. The guy has always been down to Earth, he's always championed the talent that gets buried, he's always been there for the fans and constantly interacting with them. He's going to retire young rather than try to live his entire life IN the ring until it destroys his body, which I think is actually a great example to set.

It's seriously clear that they have no idea what to do with Cena and don't get that noone gives a fuck about Tensai. You could hear a pin drop when his music hit. Otherwise decent raw even though it was just a repeat of Smsckdown.

Nah, they know they need to repackage Tensai. He was supposed to get the Big Show spot, but they weren't impressed with him.

Man did I think that the Punk/Dragon/Kane/AJ segment was great.

I did think that that was probably the best Tensai match so far though.

Not saying much though huh.

I really hate how whenever they bring in a new guy, they absolutely HAVE to put him in a ton of squash matches to start him off. I think the WWE could definitely benefit from breaking away from the same old-same old boring-ass formulaic "rules" involved with wrestling and think outside of the box a little. Take Sandow's first match for instance - it lasted like a minute, against a guy who is like double his size and who's been on TV for a long time, not to mention the fact that he's a former IC Champion.

I understand the purpose of squashes, but jesus christ, the Brodus Clay shit is getting and has been bad for a long time now. His debut was AWESOME. Something I think no fan really expected at all, especially after the promos he was giving about ending the world or whatever. It was hilarious and totally broke down the semi-serious nature that was lingering there for a minute. In his first match, when he was waiting for the guy to get up off the mat and someone yelled "YOU SUCK BRODUS!" and his response was "ohh my bad," I totally lost it - super funny. But then when he just started saying it for no reason as a catch phrase, it instantly became pointless. Add that to the fact that literally, every. single. match. he has wrestled in since his debut has been an exat replica of that first match, from the move-order clear down to the entrance and exit, and god damn if I'm not completely turned-off by that guy. It sucks because he could have been real fun, but now I couldn;t give less of a shit.

Tensai is the only guy they've put into any real matches, but they're just boring as hell. Rybeck and Clay are already established enough to where everybody knows who they are. Take them out of the squash scene and have them start feuding with someone, god damn. It was cool when Show demolished Brodus, but now it's like it never even happened and Show is gonna feud with Cena for a single PPV before they move him onto a completely unnecessary and stupid feud with Punk that literally no fan wants to see.

Man, I have such a love/hate relationship with wrestling. I stopped watching in the first place, when I was 11 years old because they had started doing the shit that they've been doing for years now, obviously including since I started watching again. It just seems like it would be so, so easy to make the WWE interesting and compelling, yet the writers for the shows just piss everybody off what seems like all the time and every time I think that they're going to do what makes sense and will make the show and company better, they take a shit on my face and make everything bad.

Sorry for the novel here. I've actually been totally content for the past two weeks, and this past episode of Smackdown was easily the best episode I've watched since I got back into wrestling. I hope they keep it up and cool stuff happens, but I just know that in like two weeks I'm going to hate myself for spending 3 hours watching an episode of RAW where someone is literally in mid-sentence of firing Big Johnny until another guy's music starts and completely erases the person doing the firing's memory. I love Johnny's character by the way and don't want him to be taken off TV, it's just an example of the awful, awful writing staff that is for some reason allowed to have anything to do with a weekly live television program that I shouldn't hate as much as I do.

Also I don't remember if I posted this in here or not so I'm just going to post it again. I have an original WCW Heavyweight Championship Belt replica autographed by Roddy Piper. It's the real WCW replica, not one of the ones licensed by WWE after the takeover, so it's one of the first belt replicas ever made that wasn't one of the foam toy ones. It's really, really nice.

Anyway, I'm wanting to either sell it or trade it for either an Intercontinental (black, white, color doesn;t matter really) or maybe a WWE European Championship replica.

So if anybody posting in here would be interested, or maybe any of your friends would be interested in either buying it or making a trade, Pm me I guess? Ironically, I'll actually be in Philadelphia in a little more than a week so I could meet-up or whatever. Might be interested in a partial trade for a Nintendo DS or 3DS, I don't know, but I definitely wanna get rid of this thing because I totally settled for it as I wanted the IC replica all along.

OK, sorry for cluttering up the thread, done now.

I hear you on the squash match crap. I've always hated that. It's one thing if you have some gigantic dude show up in his debut and obliterate someone but then go on to stiffer competition and make them prov they can handle people, it's a whole other thing to just have one guy after another line up to get splattered in 30 seconds and not prove anything other than "ok, the new guy can beat up the jobbers. whooopity doooo".

I always loved it when a new guy would come in and his first match, win or lose, actually be a tough, solid match to prove he belongs there. Even if it's a semi-squash match like Cesaro's dark match vs Kidd. He owned Kidd but it wasn't a half minute obliteration and it made Cesaro look even better that way since Kidd actually showed up as legit competition.
