Oh, 90% of people in the gym at any particular time are doing an exercise with horrible form. I try to help anyone that will listen, but a lot of guys have egos and don't want to hear it..So I continue to let them quarter squat 315 when they should be doing 135.

Also, most people's hamstrings, lower back, and glutes are grossly underdeveloped so they lean on their quads more than they should when squatting. Without having the proper development its really hard to sit back as far as you should and get depth.

I know my lower back is super weak. Seems like I can never get any where with it and it's always incredibly weak. I have no idea how to remedy that either.

Nopers. Just dieted and did mountain biking towards the end. I was never a powerhouse in the gym in the first place though.

doesn't that mean you're either fucking clumsy or too fucking fat?

no, it means i have osteoarthritis in both knees and have had surgeries for both knees. i cannot kneel down without having to bend my back, or i will not be able to stand back up. not sure why you're having a hard time understanding this

i had extreme pain in my knees when i was 235 and had almost no body fat, which is why i ended up getting the surgeries to begin with. after the surgeries i dealt with so much pain that i drank all my weight back on.

3 years ago I started lifting and I could barely bench 145 one time and just the other day I did 135 for 40 reps. The strength will come pretty quickly if you start lifting regularly.

I'm don't know what your goals are as far as lifting or if you just want to be trim, but lifting weights will help you no matter what your goals are.

I've converted 5 girls to stregnth training since my time doing it and they all think me for it because they have never seen their body transform the way it has until they started lifting weights. These girls were in shape before, for the most part. One of the girls ran 5 miles a day, did all the spin classes/kickboxing classes.. etc, but over the course of a year she lost a grand total of 5 lbs and her over all appearance stayed the same. I finally convinced her to try a 6 week training cycle that I came up with for her. I also increased her calorie intake to 1500 calories a day (she was eating around 1000 before while running her ass off, literally). At the end of it she ended up losing 15 lbs of fat and gained an unbelievable amount of strength in such a short period of time.

Cardio is great, but keep it under control unless you want to look like a marathon runner.

girls always use the excuse "i don't want to get bulky" when it comes to weights. the only way you'll get bulky is if you're lifting heavy and eating way more calories and protein than you're burning.

it takes effort to get fully torqued.

With my body type, I will never ever look like a marathon runner haha. I figure to even look moderately slim, I would have to lose another 50lbs...getting somewhere in the 210-215 region. I'm not even so much concerned aobut my look as it just overall health. Losing the weight I have this year, I feel insanely better. I can go ride for an hour or 2 and not feel like I'm going to fall out after 10 minutes, I was getting winded walking up steps and shit like that. Blah blah blah. I mean obviously looking better is a welcome side effect.
