They tend to be unrealistic on the healthy/ideal side, but its hard to argue the obesity side (unless you are packed with a ton of muscle mass)

i look like i just got out of dachau

i looked slim @ 225, with less muscle than i have now. i honestly think the lowest i can get now would be 230/235.

thats the thing, i do have a ton of muscle mass. even though i gained weight i still kept going to the gym and lifting. doesn't mean i'm not obese, but i'm not as obese as most 330 pounders.

that's the problem with those charts.. they don't take into account muscle mass.

they don't take frame size or muscle mass into account. i'm sure i'm build wider than a lot of people that are 6'1.

if i was 175 i'd probably be dead.

Yeah, the obvious is that there is no one set thing to determine that for everybody. You gotta get the calipers out and all the shit to get the real picture.

calipers are not the most reliable way to measure body fat %

hydrostatic measurements are better and they don't cost too much to have done.

i had one down about 6 months ago... it cost 50 bucks and i was at 17%

What is? Isn't it the crazy dip you in a pool of water to determine displacement and all sorts of shit?
