Charlies managing in this series has really confused me.

Don't get why Halladay didn't finish his game and I don't get why he put Lee back out there when he was getting hit pretty good the last couple innings. Up until last night we had only used Stutes/Madson, so the BP was fresh. I don't get it.

The strike zone early in the came killed both starting pitchers. I was surprised such a sub-par bullpen killed the Phillies. Lidge looked great which was a positive. I hope they can find success against Garcia tomorrow.

Not panicking in the least bit, but you cant win a playoff series allowing a team to score 11 combined runs in the first 2 games. Hamels better start the lock down of the Cards offense tomorrow.

his over managing will eventually be his undoing in this series. you can't run your entire bullpen ( a mediocre one at that) out every game and expect them to keep up the same success.

Some of the top pitchers in baseball have been lit up in the playoffs: lee, verlander, cc, carpenter, cj Wilson, Kennedy. Pretty wild stuff so far

I think Verlander pitched very well last night. After the Posada/Granderson troubles in the 1st, he was vicious until the 7th when he became to excited to get that last out. Then he started to pitch "bad". He was on point again in the 8th. It's Valverde that is having me worried. I can't take these nailbiters anymore and although he's pulled it out the last two nights, he needs to be the animal he was the rest of the season.

I'm stoked to get this series over with. I still fully believe that whoever wins the Tigers/Yanks series is going to represent the AL in the World Series. I'm hoping for a win tonight so I can breath easy for a little because I'm not nearly as worried about the Rangers or the Rays as I am the Yankees.

And I must admit, there is a small part of me that is hoping the Cardinals take it all the way for the NL so the Tigers can get some revenge for 2006. But really they can go fuck themselves all the same.
