Trump winning would obviously be terrible for everyone, not least the idiots supporting him, but Trump running, getting the nomination, and then losing could actually be a really good, heathy, purgative experience for the country/world, like taking a really huge collective shit, with the retarded Tea Party being the shit, and the rest of the country/world being the body shitting it out. Not that they would be completely removed or go away, but they would be repudiated and recognized as less successful, and since most people are whores for anything successful regardless of meaning or trajectory, that at least would be a symbolic step in the right direction. Of course if he won, the opposite would be true and we could pretty much kiss the 21st century goodbye and look forward to living in the world depicted in Idiocracy even more than we do already, and that's just as likely.
Also, it needs to be pointed out that it really is the "country/world" that is subjected to all this, because, being a bit on the insular, xenophobic, self-absorbed side of narcissism culturally, it is sometimes easy to forget that we are also this era's equivalent to Rome, and that every country in the world is unfortunately experiencing our experience as well, via its projection in global news & media, but also with respect to all of their own local versions of head-shaking hipsters and Tea Party types. As the dominant economy and military infrastructure right now, the policies set by the United States tend to affect everyone and everything everywhere, good or bad.
That's what the coffee is telling me anyway this morning.
