Shocktop pumpkin wheat was not so great, tasted too wheaty

Need to try dogfishhead

The sam adams harvest pumpkin ale is awesome, i like it better than their oktoberfest. The shocktop pumpkin is too watery and light for me. I like the regular shocktop better.

Pumking and the Saranac ones are the only ones i've found drinkable. Pumpkin beers are generally bad for the most part.

you should try the Bethlehem. Its got a smoother overall taste i believe, the weyerbacher was always my favorite but it did pack a punch of flavor that bothered me, the Bethlehem is higher Abv but somehow not as harsh and has great flavor.

i like to keep my pie spices in my pie these days however.

just tried the shocktop pumpkin on draft, i thought it was pretty good. brooklyn lager pumpkin is still the front runner for me though.
