Gillies is the player that just finished serving his suspension and is scratched tonight.

ok thats who came back and is a healthy scratch but i could have sworn they said another name and reason was suspenion

There's no one currently on suspension that I can think of... like I said unless I'm forgetting something. Matt Martin was suspended 4 games from the same game as Gillies. Konopka had a hearing but wasn't disciplined. I'm just saying... yeah that game was a mess and they have a couple guys that scrap but dirtyness is not the norm for them.

You can certainly make the argument that they're bad. I just wouldn't call em dirty.

Gillies was suspended 10 games for that Pens melee, then was suspended for another 10 games after his first game back from the initial suspension (even though Clutterbuck's hit directly beforehand was far dirtier than Gillies' hit).

That 3rd period last night was just painful. Inability to work hard all 60 minutes is gonna be the death of this team.

But that was the best 3rd period/full game the Flyers have played in a long fucking time. I hope this is the start of what is to come.

I'm really hoping Visnovksy or Lydman get nods for the Norris this year. Both are having incredible seasons but never seem to get mentioned.

Lydman, not a chance. They ALWAYS only go for offensive defencemen. I'm guessing the Norris candidates will be Lidstrom, Yandle, and Visnovsky or Letang.
