The bible is full of contradictions. It was re-written so many times that likely little of what was originally contained remains unaltered. Being that the average medieval peasant was illiterate, the bible was incomprehensible to them, allowing the priesthood to alter whatever they deemed necessary to use it for what it was originally intended to be used for: A brainwashing tool to keep conquered people in line and assimilate threatening "pagan" religions into their own.
I have no problem with Christians per se, I just think that they do not understand their own religion. I also believe that due to some superstition based 'hooks', that it is very hard to escape this mindset. Anyone who tries to 'lead you astray' is basically working for the Devil, or "God is just testing you, to see if you will remain faithful!"
The most dangerous story from the bible is the story of Abraham. Judaism, Islam and Christianity all share this story. In which a man couldn't conceive a child, and when he finally did, God ordered him to sacrifice the baby to test his faith. THIS STORY TEACHES BLIND FAITH... Dangerous, fact is real, faith is belief in something that is invisible, unheard, unproven and basically cannot be shown to actually exist. What if I said "God told me to go out into an intersection and start shooting people!" So I load up a gun and trust that God is going to stop me at the last minute. See how insane that is? Brainwashing/superstition at it's absolute worst!
