This thread is pretty terrible.

Kongo, Champ? Really. Kongo couldn't get passed Cain Valasquez in his last fight who is half the wrestler that Lesnar is. Kongo has shit takedown defense and would be pummelled within a round by Lesnar.

As for Don Frye, he's about as American as you can get.

Dan Severn is obsolete now. I give him alot of credit for being 51 and still competing as often as he does. He basically competes once a month and is still winning fights. I think he has about 115 fights under his belt now. He's up there with Jeremy Horn and Travis Fulton for most fights. But with all that and how successful he was in the early days, he doesn't hold a candle to any of the HW in the UFC currently. He would get smoked by all of them. His days are done. He's only good for nostalia purposes and to help promote new fight orgs.

I mean it definitely is a personal opinion on what fights an individual would want to see, but personally some of these matchups are either irrelevant or simply just too ridiculous.

For instance, the Don Frye vs. Fedor fight would be completely unnecessary. Frye would be put out fast. He's a gamer but other than punching power and williness to "go get it" he has nothing to offer to the sport anymore. I'll always be a big fan of his but if you have paid attention to MMA in the last, we'll say, 5 years you would know that Frye would lose badly. Shit he just fought an unranked HW in Dave Herman and was KO'd in around 90 seconds.

I mean there are always the "what if" fights like having Fedor vs. Gomi when they were dominating their PRIDE divisions and since Pride was big on the David vs. Goliath bouts. But really what's the point? Fedor vs. Anderson Silva almost falls into this catagory. I'd be more interested in this bout if it was K-1 rules and they weren't allowed to go to the ground.

Fedor vs. Aleks is another pointless bout. For most the curiosity is there to see what happens when two brothers fight. It's up there with the completely useless Frank vs. Ken bout. But allow me to educate you (and there is video proof of this) Fedor smoked Aleks in a Combat Sambo tournament where they had to face eachother. And incase you are unaware, Combat Sambo is basically MMA. I think that's a pretty good indication what would happen if they stepped into the ring or cage.

A good fantasy matchup would be something like Couture vs. Fedor, Penn vs. Aoki/Hansen/Alvarez, Arona vs. Ortiz, Rampage vs. Ortiz, Anderson Silva vs. Machida...those type of fights.

Ortiz is obsolete too. Ortiz, Liddell, Trigg, and Cro Cop all need to retire. I usually wouldn't include Trigg, cause he never was amazing, but I saw him get fucked up yesterday, so I think it's necessary.

Of those 4 mentioned Tito still has the most to offer. Sure he'll never be as dominating as he was before but he still provides a stern test for anyone in the LHW division. Crocop is just a name to be beat and Liddell is probably retired. Trigg has always been so/so, I don't know what to make of him until he fights one more time.

you do realize aleksander doesnt live in america right? listen, its ok to be a noob, which you are, but dont spout off like you know shit if you dont.

to answer the OP, anderson would have about 1-2 punches to KO fedor before he would be flying through the air like a 747 en route to getting pounded into dust.

wanderlei would be even worse. fedor would just KO him standing nowadays.
