lol, how is changing my last name changing ME? I would still be the same exact person. I think combining names would just sound silly. For example, if I married someone named John Smith, and we went to combine our last names: Jessica Smilancy? Jessica Clamith? No thanks, I'll go with Jessica Smith.

I like Clancysmith. Smith is like the easiest to combine with something. Haha. Snow could more easily sound ridiculous. I went to high school with the Storm brothers and two dudes named Ball. Luckily, no attraction.

Hey, to each his/her own, but I would not want to deny the validity of my preexisting full-person-hood by acting as though I'm "changed" in some way by being married (especially not "changed" in some way that the dude isn't changed). I like to think that the name I had for my first day of school, all of my championships, all of my shows, graduations. . . will be the one I have when I win a Barrymore, become an ambassador, and when I die.

I don't believe that at all. I do believe that the person I am is amazing and I wouldn't want to deny that fact by changing her name when some dude doesn't change his name. It makes it seem as though he was better (and perhaps complete) to begin with and I needed changing. It just doesn't make sense.

If there is one thing I believe more than anything else on this planet it's that tradition for the sake of tradition is absolutely fucking retarded. People need to grow some balls and do what they want, not what some god or government tells them to do.

well i do like the tradition of it, not for God reason's like you might think...just the simple tradition of a women taking a man's last name.

also i honestly want to continue my lineage

i also still open doors for women...can you believe that bullshit!
