Not sure, but I know I won't be doing the hyphen thing.

I changed my name. If I was going to do it again I might legally hyphenate and then use my husband's last name socially, though I guess it really doesn't make a bit of difference. I like my current last name better/as much as my old last name, so it was no big deal. Plus, it makes more sense for us to have the same last name.

If I was a chick, I would marry a guy with the last name Kilgore, 'cause that's an amazing last name to have. I would also fuck a ton of other dudes.

i'm up in the air between going hyphenated and completely taking Steve's last name.

more than likely i'll hyphenate, but i'm not really worried about my last name getting lost because i have a brother who will carry it on.

I took my husband's last name. My sister got married over the summer and made her first name a combination of her first and middle name, then made her maiden name her new middle name then took her husband's name as her last name. Follow that one. Whack job. She's lives in the south, so i guess that is common. All i know is her husband's last name is dangerfield. Jealous.

I'm with them.

I don't see why anyone would change his or her name, unless he or she hated his or her family or something. It seems so disgusting to me that anyone would expect members of one sex or the other to change their names just because they got married. It's ludicrous. You're still the same person, and you are no less of a person than your spouse who gets to keep their name. Sick.

My roommate and her husband combined their last names and both changed to that. If it's important to someone that they have the same last name as their spouse, I think that's a good idea. I can't see why you'd want the same last name as your spouse though, you're not related. You can give your kids any kind of combination of last names you want, or create a last name. Why would you let them think one of their parents is more important than the other and got to keep his or her last name, but the other did not? So strange.

I guess I am weird, but honestly I think I would feel proud to take my husband's last name. It's not like I am going to marry some douchebag, I am going to marry someone I truly love and think is a great man.
