mmmm, i've wanted one of these for a while. i have the world's tiniest kitchen though so i have to refrain from purchases such as these until we buy a house :/

we've got a super small kitchen too, the griddler takes up most of the only free counter i have, LOL

i keep it in the unreachable cabinet above my fridge. it's out of the way, but i have to stand on a stool to get to it

this is where my kitchenaid is :( I use hubby to get it because it's fucking heavy (yes i'm perfectly capable of doing it but why bother when muscles is right there).

one that sticks out in mind that is often forgotten though, is the egg slicer. not a necessity but it is SO nice to have when you're making something that uses a lot of hard boiled eggs, like egg salad or potato salad. they really need to run with this idea and make an onion slicer/dicer that does the same thing to cut down on all the boo-hooing while cutting onions.

also, on the subject of garlic presses, i chop A LOT of garlic and have always gotten by without one. i got my mom a nice one a while ago and she says it jams up a lot with garlic gook. so i have officially crossed that off my kitchen wishlist.

i agree with everything in this post.

and i've owned 2 different garlic presses, and both were ass. especially if only doing one or two cloves, if feels like a significant portion gets wasted because you can't get it out of the press without washing.
