I actually had a Maxon OD808 that I used to run in front of my JCM900... but I was never happy with how it sculpted the 5150's tone, regardless of the gain setting. It just made it too harsh and shrill.
I'm open to trying an OD pedal again, but that one just didn't work for me. I paid $40 for it and sold it for $100, so I'm ok with that. Haha.
