Okay this is has been racking my brain lately. What exactly is the deal with all the straight edge crews and stuff and straight edge people beating the shit out of non-straight edge people and what not? I mean it would seem to me that being straight edge is something that defines you, and it is for you, and fuck other people it shouldn't matter what they do or don't do... So I'm just wondering I guess if the sXe people on this site are with me on that (that if you're doing it for the right reasons it should be about you) and what they think about the crews and fighting non sXe people or people who "break edge." ?

From what I've seen and heard personally it is common occurrence. But I like to keep an open mind about things such as this which is why I asked you all's thoughts on the matter. Don't get all defensive dildo.

And yes I'm aware that there are other crews too, and yes I think it's all stupid. It's a complete bastardization of the "music" scene that they grew out of.

That's the thing, any "crews" that people have usually aren't based on the fact that they drink or do drugs or whatever. And just because some "crew" attacks people it doesn't mean "crews" should be formed to do the same thing.
