We are all well aware of the fact that it is a book; Chris, Daniel, and James were the members who decided on the name after hearing it from the book and everything. This was prior to the joinings of Jeremy, Andy, and myself in the band.

After I read, the book, I was dissapointed. We all gave it our own meaning and then the book had something entirely different. So now I'll explain what we interpret it to mean...

it's the same concept as our lyrics "emeralds hold no hope" and many many others. what we believe it to mean is that possessions don't matter at all and someday everyone will realize that this is true. when standing before God, He won't care about your sweet Prada scarf or Gucci shoes or whatever. it's a Christian reasoning for the name, we didn't name it to attempt at being fashionable or whatever.

we are also completely aware of the fact that a movie is coming out, and it will probably be something along the lines of "chick flick." although some of us watch chick flicks, please don't associate our band name and reason for naming the band to however the movie turns out...unless it turns out to be brutal haha.

i hope some of you understand a little more about us now and all that jazz :]
